Experience
I am originally from Germany, where I earned the equivalent of a bachelor's degree and a master's in Psychology, and spent 13 years training and working in that field. I now have two years of experience as an individual tutor in Study Skills, German, and preparation for the SAT German exam. One of my strengths as a teacher is my ability to remain professional and level-headed at all times and explain complicated concepts in different terms that are hopefully easier to understand for students that are struggling with the material. My background in Psychology gives me insight into how the human brain works and the best ways to motivate others and get new information across in a short amount of time. I am able to tutor students in both English and German and have also studied Latin and Russian at different periods of my life. I work hard to tailor my lessons to each individual student to emphasize what works best for them. In my free time I love traveling and exploring new places, including the area in and around Cleveland where I now live. I also enjoy hiking, biking, photography, music, literature, and art.
